Easter Wishes

Easter is right around the corner! Don't these cute little chicks look festive or are you too distracted by the foiled covered milk chocolate eggs? Mmmm! My photography skills are lacking, so I thought the little props might enhance my photo.

I love to emboss! The very first card making class I ever took was an embossing class. They utilized the old brass embossing templates and a stylus with a light table. I was so thrilled with the technique and what I created, I bought everything I needed to emboss and went to town with it! I still have my old collection of brass templates. Stampin' Up! still sells some of these on page 188 in the IB&C. I am totally spoiled now with my Big Shot and embossing folders which make things much easier and quicker!

My new favorite embossing product is Stampin' Up! Texturz Plates. The one I used for the chicks white background on this Easter card is called Perfect Details. The Texturz Plates come double-sided and measure 8" x 5-7/8". You simply run them through your Big Shot using the Multipurpose Platform, Impressions Pad, and Silicone Rubber. Stampin Up sells three different packages of these.

I'm off to buy my Easter ham and maybe some more foiled eggs. The ones in the picture . . . gone!

Enjoy your Sunday and happy stamping!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

I'm not a bit Irish, but who says you have to be Irish to celebrate? I'm having a little dinner party tonight and serving up some reubens. The card and favor pictured above will be at each place setting.

Aren't the little milk carton's adorable? I filled it with Hershey Milk Chocolate Spring Flowers. As soon as I saw the Mini Milk Carton Bigz Die in the Stampin' Up! Occasions Mini, it was the first thing on my list. You can assemble the milk carton to have a spout open up to pour out your contents. My project is completely enclosed since my contents fill the width of the container. I've also seen these cartons made into super cute bird houses! I'm going to give that a whirl soon.

Enjoy your St. Patrick's Day and happy stamping!

Masculine Birthday

If you are a regular follower of my blog, you know I struggle with masculine cards. My brother-in-law had a birthday this week so I stretched really hard and came up with this card. I used some older paper & supplies so there will not be a product list at the end of the post. I'm trying to use up my older stuff to make room for new!

I will share with you the products I used on the inside of the card because those were current Stampin' Up! stamps. I used Whimsical Words (from the Sale-A-Bration catalog) and Teeny Tiny Wishes. The Sale-A-Bration ends March 31st so don't wait too long to place your order.

Enjoy your weekend and happy stamping!

Butterflies

I was very excited to use the new Stampin' Up! Embosslits Die, Beautiful Wings. This die was on backorder for awhile because it was so popular! I only used one little butterfly, the pink one, on this card. I'll be sharing more creations with you in the near future with other butterflies from this collection. This die includes four butterflies of various sizes and embossed designs.

The Beautiful Wings die coordinates perfectly with the Stampin' Up! set Flight of the Butterfly. All the stamped images on this card are from this set. It's a pretty stamp set to make fun & cheerful cards during the Spring & Summer season.

The past few days have been filled with sunshine here in PA. What a great mood lifter! Brandon has been playing outside every day and loving it. Pretty soon we'll be teaching him how to ride a two wheeler. Watch out!

I hope you are having a great week filled with lots of sunshine! Have fun & happy stamping!!!!
